In 2007 a small group of industry safety professionals met and decided to found our council as a way to ensure small contractors could find affordable training options to meet the ever-increasing training requirements within the industry. Our initial meetings were hald at a restaurant in Platteville. As our council grew our mission expanded to include holding monthly meetings with different safety presentations to benefit everyone in the industry.
In 2012 we joined the National STEPS Network of safety organizations in the Oil & Gas Industry. By networking with other councils and groups we are able to ensure that information on relevant safety issues, emerging technologies an industry best safety practices is shared with everyone.
Looking into the future of our council and our industry we continue to develop new ways to share information and continue to make our industry trive for safety excellence. We do hope you will join us!
